Vitor Nascimento - Brazil
Certificate of Business English
My top tip for enjoying Auckland:
Live in central Auckland because it's easier to enjoy the nightlife. Travel around the country.
My experience:
I want to become a business manager in a multi-national company. My agent said that Embassy is the best language school in Auckland.
I've enjoyed the excellent teachers, and the good facilities offered to students at the school. All of the students are friendly and cheerful.
At weekends I play soccer, walk around the beautiful parks in Auckland, and go to the bars and clubs at the harbour.

Carter Voyce - Teacher
CELTA; Dip Language Teaching
My work involves:
Constant learning on my part, about both the subject I teach and the cultures of my students. On top of that, I'm lucky enough to have fantastic colleagues, access to good coffee and a lot of laughs.
My top tip for learning:
Come to school fresh and on time, every day.
My top tip for enjoying life in Auckland:
Get out of the house, get in a car (or on a bus) and start exploring. There is so much to see and do in and around Auckland that there is no excuse for staying at home. If you're stuck for ideas, ask a teacher - they will happily offer suggestions.
My experience:
I was born in the mighty Waikato region of New Zealand and have been working as an English language teacher full-time since 2003. I began my teaching career in Katowice, Poland, where I worked for a number of schools before returning to New Zealand in 2006 and taking up my position here at Embassy. Since joining Embassy, I have taught all levels of General English as well as TELP, IELTS and TOEIC classes. Currently, I'm teaching Advanced level General English.
My additional roles at Embassy are as Student Activities Coordinator and as Learning Technologies Teacher.
Outside school, I enjoy sports, music, reading, classic cars and an occasional drink with my mates.

Raymond Butler - Teacher
MA (Hons)
My work involves:
Teaching General English and providing IELTS support to Foundation students.
My top tip for learning:
Remember that you learn more when you are enjoying yourself so take time to relax and have fun as well as to learn.
My top tip for enjoying life in Auckland:
We have some great outdoor attractions so make sure you get out (of) doors!
My experience:
I like cats and military history and have taught overseas (in France).
I have reasonable French language skills but could be a lot better with a lot of practice. I'm interested in all languages and prepared to give anything a try.
Currently I'm attempting to learn some simple Chinese, as I was unable to understand anything when I went there four years ago.
If I wasn't a teacher I'd probably be a pilot or an architect as these are both areas that interest me.

Anastasia Suchkova - Russia
Academic Year Abroad
My experience:
This is my second time studying with Embassy. Three years ago I studied in England and I enjoyed it. Therefore I chose Embassy again. One day I would like to run my own Public Relations business.
I've enjoyed the professional teachers and the comfortable classrooms at Embassy. I like acting out different little role-plays in class.
Every weekend I travel, meet with friends, and visit interesting places in Auckland. New Zealand is one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Mariana Carvalho Riani - Brazil
Certificate of English
My top tip for enjoying Auckland:
Travel around the country and see the amazing landscape.
My experience:
I want to become a doctor - I'll start studying when I leave Embassy. I've enjoyed the teachers most of everything; and the friends that I've made. It was very interesting to meet people from all over the world.
-
Lu Han - China
Diploma of English
My top tip for enjoying Auckland:
Go to the internet to download some information about New Zealand, like weather, customs and so on.
My experience:
I guarantee that you will have a great, rewarding time here.
I want to be an English teacher. I though it was a wonderful idea to do a foundation course before I go to university in a foreign country.
The teachers and staff at Embassy are very helpful both in my study and life in New Zealand. And I had a great opportunity to develop friendships with other students who study at Embassy.
I like doing cross-stitch, and shopping. At the weekend, I usually go to the beach with my cross-stitch stuff, sit beside the sea, and stitch!
