Oxford - New College Quad
The beautiful "quad" (courtyard) at the heart of New College was one of the first colleges to be built in this style and formed the blueprint for later colleges. New College is, despite its name, more than 620 years old! Founded in 1379, it is one of the largest and most beautiful of the colleges of Oxford University.
That's interesting! Two famous film stars studied here - Kate Beckinsale and Hugh Grant (although Kate left to follow her film career before she graduated). The college itself is also a film star: you can see it in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Tomorrow Never Dies.
