Barbara: Hi, I'm Barbara; I work in Cambridge. When I started teaching, I was a volunteer. I went to India, before I went to university. I really enjoyed that, so after university, I went to Spain for a year and taught there. Then I decided to come back to the UK and become a qualified teacher and make this my career. I've been teaching for twenty – nearly twenty years now. I'm a teacher trainer. I train newly-qualified teachers and I've started training teachers who are developing their careers a little bit further.

Allan: My name's Allan. I'm a teacher and teacher-trainer. I've been working for about 30 years, coming up to my anniversary soon. I still enjoy teaching, very much. I've been mostly in Hastings in the south of England, but I've been to Vietnam, Egypt, Indonesia, Brazil, uh, very enjoyable teaching and training trips.

Tony: Hi, my name's Tony. I've been teaching in Hastings for two years. Erm, I would like to teach abroad at some point, but not just yet. Erm, I absolutely love teaching, er I love meeting people from all over the world, erm, and it's just a lot of fun.

Laura: Hi my name's Laura, erm, I've been a teacher for about seven years, erm, my first job was at a school in Ascot, working with young children, erm, and then I went to Poland where I taught, erm, children, teenagers and adults and I worked there for a year. Erm and then I came back to London and I've been working at Embassy CES school in London, erm, for about, yeah, six years now. It's a great school, we have a really good mix of nationalities, it's interesting and erm, in the future I think I'd like to go into teacher training, but we'll just have to see where that goes.

Rolf: My name's Rolf, and I've been involved in EFL for over ten years, er, mainly in this country, erm, specialising in exam classes, and recently over the last couple of years, I've been doing some workshop, um, in different countries in Europe, er, teacher training workshops, trying to kind of re-motivate teachers who have lost some of their edge.
