A night out in Fort Lauderdale
There's always a full programme of social activities at all our schools. You'll be able to go out dancing, eating, playing sports - whatever interests you most. One thing's for sure: you'll never be bored. Often, teachers go with the students too. Here is a report from one recent evening out in Fort Lauderdale. Teacher Stephen writes:
These are some pictures I wanted to share with you. It was a goodbye party for a student (Manuela, from Switzerland). Yes, just another Friday with me hard at work... EATING! This Japanese grill restaurant is really great and they cook the food in front of you at your table. That is why I am behind the grill. The chef asked me to try to do something.

This [above] is me 'helping' the master chef, Kenji. He was spinning this egg (on the grill) and I was supposed to flip it with the spatula, and then catch it again so it falls lightly and breaks for the stir-fry. He had already done it once and challenged me to do it. I can't resist a good challenge (incidentally, this chef speaks four languages and originally hails from Peru, not to mention that he is very understanding when one of his guests proceeds to flip a raw egg onto the floor where he is working)!

Oops! I didn't quite make it (it's broken on the floor near my feet).

But it was amazing. Somehow I still had an unbroken egg (How? Here's a clue: look at the bowl in the bottom right of the first and second picture, then look at the same bowl in the picture above).
After dinner we had a light show. I think we took pictures with 12 cameras. It was like a lightning storm! I had the flash in my eyes for about 45 minutes.
