Seattle-Tacoma - in class
Here are some Embassy students in class. This is an unusual scene, as it happens: Embassy lessons will much more often see students working in groups and pairs, or sitting in a horseshoe shape so that everyone can join in a class discussion.

Seattle-Tacoma - voluntary work
Embassy students volunteered with St. Leo's Hospitality Services in downtown Tacoma. This service for the homeless and poor provides breakfast and lunch free of charge five days a week. Nobody is turned away. It is a great program for people who are unable to afford food.
The Embassy students worked in the kitchen where they helped prepare a well balanced meal. They also served food to participants and helped clean up the facility at the end of their shift.

Seattle-Tacoma - voluntary work
Student Chenyu Xu commented that working in the soup kitchen made him feel sad for the people in his home country of China. They have similar services in China too. All the students now understand and appreciate how the efforts of a social services organisation can make a difference in so many lives.
