Five fun things to do near the Embassy Perth school

  • Use the university facilities: Embassy Perth students have access to a soccer pitch, indoor gym, movie theatre, and more. In addition, there are daily activities and excursions such as barbeques, surfing, and even camel riding!
  • Visit the historic port city of Fremantle, just 15 minutes away, with its Victorian architecture, street cafes, museums, art galleries, food markets, marinas and good fishing.
  • Play golf on the multitude of moderately-priced greens in the area.
  • See kangaroos, wombats and koalas at Caversham Wildlife Park or Cohunu Wildlife Park, both within an hour's drive.
  • Check out Claremont museum, the local history museum, which is set in lovely parkland beside the Swan River.

Perth Events:

March: Wagin Woolorama A rural show, displaying Perth's 'Wild West' side, with farming events, animal shows, fairground rides and even a dog high-jump competition.
Perth Chilli festival: Do you like a bite of the hot stuff? If so, you'll want to come and try the many chilli-inspired dishes on offer in this annual Araluen Botanic Gardens event.
June – August: City of Perth Winter Arts Festival A packed programme of theatre, music, dance and arts comes to Perth.
November: Awesome Festival It's a kids' festival, but people of all ages can enjoy the street theatre, art exhibitions and musical performances that fill a four weeks of Perth's summer.
December: Gravity Games Watch practitioners of all kinds of action sports, including wakeboarding and jet ski-ing. There's live music, too.

How to reach Embassy Perth

Most students use the rail network to reach the school; the campus is a 12-minute walk from Claremont Train Station. There are also several bus services which stop at the campus.
