Accommodation options for students in Oxford

Homestay

Live as part of an English-speaking household. You'll have your own bedroom (or share with a student from another nationality if you choose a twin room) and eat breakfast and evening meals with your hosts.

It's a great chance to meet native Oxford residents and share their way of life. Living with English-speakers also means that you will never stop learning and improving your fluency.

All Embassy Oxford Homestays are a maximum of 45 minutes away by public transport, and most are around 20 minutes or closer. Cycling is also a good option in this very bike-friendly town.

Oxford is a historic city, and many different styles of architecture are found here. Houses range from modern detached or semi-detached properties with gardens, to older terraced houses with small or no gardens, to large and luxurious homes with impressive gardens.

In Oxford, there is a our main student residence is situated only a few minutes' walk from the school (Blue Boar residence). We occasionally use a second student residence which has single rooms and is a 25 minute bus ride from town.

Both residences are self-catering, with shared kitchens, and all have internet access throughout. All have laundry facilities.

Blue Boar
There is a mixture of shared and single rooms with private bathrooms, plus a common room with a TV. Download a photobook showing the Blue Boar residence PDF document
