An important part of the Embassy experience is the friends you will make - friends from many different countries around the world.

These are the people you'll be learning English with. When your conversations continue outside the classroom, your English continues to improve, too.

And it's the friendships you make that will stay with you when you go back home. Perhaps you'll keep in touch, and always remember the special time you shared in Melbourne.

Here are some Embassy students in class. This is an unusual scene, as it happens: Embassy lessons will much more often see students working in groups and pairs, or sitting in a horseshoe shape so that everyone can join in a class discussion.

Embassy Melbourne offers a work placement assistance service to all students of Intermediate level and above.

The Work Placement  Assistance Co-ordinator Jane Purchase runs weekly seminars in which students can learn skills such as how to write a resumé or a letter of application. She'll also explain how to perform well in an interview, where to look for work, and other work-related topics such as tax, working visas and so on. Students can also book an appointment with Jane to assist them with any of the above areas.
