- Do I need a car in LA Long Beach?
-
You will not need a car, but you may find life easier with one. Los Angeles is a notoriously car-centric city. It is easy to travel around Long Beach by foot, public transport, or bike. But accessing more distant areas, such as central LA or nearby attractions, becomes easier with your own transport.
We can advise you on car hire if required.
Note that the legal age for driving varies from state to state in the USA. In general if you are over 18 you should be able to drive, although many hire companies will not rent cars to those under 25. If you do hire a car, the rental office should be able to tell you of any driving laws particular to the state you are in. Read more useful information on Student Club.
