These are the questions we are most frequently asked about studying at Sydney.

How far is the school from the city centre?

The school is just a few minutes' walk from Hyde Park, and not far from Central Railway Station and Circular Quay. Thus it is only a short walk to the heart of Sydney's Central Business District. You'll find a map on the Sydney local information page.

How far are the residences / the Homestays from the school?

Please see our Sydney Accommodation section for full details. Homestays are a maximum of 40 minutes away by public transport, and often closer. The residence is about a mile from school and can be reached on foot or by public transport.

Is there internet access at the school / at the residence / in Homestay? Is it free to use?

All our schools have wireless internet access which is free and unlimited. Students can also use the school computers for free all day, but may have to wait during busy times.

Unilodge offers broadband internet access in your room, for a small fee.

Homestays differ, and we cannot guarantee internet access. Please mention at the time of booking if it is important to you, and we will do our best to accommodate your requirements.

Do I need a car in Sydney?

The school itself is in the centre of the city, and our Activities programme will take you to many surrounding areas. In addition, parking is expensive and there are frequent traffic jams in the city, so we'd recommend that you don't need a car.
