Wageh A Twati, Lybia - Student at Embassy CES Brighton

Wageh A Twati, Lybia

I'm from Libya. I'm 28. I was Elementary when I arrived and now I'm Upper Intermediate.

I came here to get more communication in the native language, where the natives speak English. I heard about Embassy from my friend and they recommended it to me.

The classes begin at half past nine, and they start with the warm-up first, because I think when we come here in the morning we are asleep! And then afterwards they give us some activities, some grammar, new vocabulary. Then we have a break. After the break they give us some more examples and maybe some lab demonstrations. At the end we have some games about the grammar we have learned.

My teacher is a fantastic teacher: really, I like him. He gives us some historical idea of the word, like, for example, 'bless you' - he will tell you why this phrase has come to be. And he gives us a lot of idioms. He corrects our usage. He also teaches us colloquial words which are useful, and also, we can ask him some questions, like, "Oh, what's a useful phrase when I go to the doctor's?". And he can help us.
