Five fun things to do near the school

  • Visit one of the many central museums in Oxford – pick from Natural History, Art, Local History, the Bus Museum, and several more.
  • Wander through the city centre, which alternates top High Street shops with historic sights. There's also a covered market, and many cafés and bars.
  • Take a picnic to Christ Church Meadow (a large piece of public grassland in the centre of the city) or the Botanic Garden. 
  • Hire a punt (a flat boat) and indulge in the classic summertime Oxford activity of floating downriver
  • Visit the excellent public library.

May May Day Celebration: The streets fill with music, the pubs and cafes open for breakfast, and festivities are all around.
May Beating the Bounds: Watch a group of folk performing the traditional battering of historic stones around town.  A unique experience.
June Cowley Road Carnival: Celebrating the diversity of East Oxford’s communities with a blend of music, dance, street theatre and a huge procession.   
June Jericho Street Fair: Market stalls, barbeque, live music, food, and outdoor fun.
August Party in the Park: A day of music held in one of the local parks, with top names from pop performing.
August Oxford City Royal Regatta & Sprint: A historic and popular regatta on the river, with several types of boat race.  
September St Giles’ Fair: An annual two-day street fair.

Embassy 옥스포드 도착 방법

London Paddington 출발: 옥스퍼드로행 열차를 타거나 리딩(Reading)에서 갈아타면 약 1시간 정도 소요됩니다. 기차표 가격은 하루 중 어느 때냐에 따라 매우 다르지만 러시아워를 피한다면 왕복 GB £15.00 가량입니다.

러시아워에는 1시간에 최소한 4대의 옥스포드행 열차가 있습니다.

옥스포드역 출발: 도보로 약 10 -15분이면 학교에 도착합니다.

역을 나와 정면의 큰 광장에서 좌회전합니다. Said Business School을 지나 계속 직진하다보면 Hythe Bridge Street 오른편으로 강 너머 Royal Oxford Hotel이 보입니다.

Hythe Bridge Street에서 돌아 George Street 쪽으로 길을 건너 직진하면 시내가 나옵니다. 이제 Broad Street 바로 맞은편인 Magdalen Street East과 Cornmarket Street 교차로에 이릅니다.

학교는 1-5 Broad Street의 2층에 위치합니다. Embassy 간판을 찾으십시오.

택시 및 버스 이용: 역 바로 앞에서 버스와 택시 승강장을 찾을 수 있습니다. 버스는 도심의 일방통행길을 따라가므로 승차할 필요가 없습니다. 걷거나 택시를 이용하는게 더 빠르게 도착할 수 있습니다.

그러나 역은 시내의 다른 곳으로 가는 버스를 타기에 적합한 곳입니다. 역 앞에서 버스 정류장을 찾을 수 없다면, 정면의 큰 광장으로 나와 Said Business School의 반대편을 보면 길 중간에 섬 처럼 놓인 여러 버스 정류장을 볼 수 있습니다.
