I began teaching at Embassy CES San Diego in the spring of 2003, but I have more than fifteen years' experience teaching English as a second language. I majored in History for Single Subject Teaching Credential at San Diego State University, and taught English for the San Diego Unified School District for six years - both with students who were learning ESL and with those who were seeking advanced placement for university.

I am also a professional theatre artist, with fifteen years' experience as a recognized actor, an award-winning director, and a playwright. I live in the community of South Park, in a small redwood cottage on a canyon, with my life-partner Betty and our cat, Buddy. My hobbies include hiking and camping in San Diego's mountains and desert.
