Five fun things to do near the school

  • Shop for quirky fashion, music, gifts and books in the North Laine, or just sit in one of its many cafes and watch a parade of Brighton's famously colourful residents go by.
  • Visit Brighton's famous royal residence, the Pavilion, and be amazed by its over-the-top interiors. Afterwards, if it's sunny, join the people sitting outside in the gardens and have a coffee from the café.
  • Stroll along the beach, visit the pier for amusements and the view, or take the Volks electric railway eastwards towards the Marina, where you'll find outlet shops, restaurants, and boats galore.
  • Take your pick from several local museums including Brighton Museum, Preston Manor, the Toy Museum, Hove Museum, and more.
  • Take an open-top bus to Devil's Dyke, where you'll find a stunning escarpment with extensive views across the countryside. You might even see hang-gliders

Brighton Events:

May Brighton Festival: Large three-week festival offering an enormous amount of choice in theatre, music, art, comedy, film and dance.
June Classic car run: See vintage cars arrive at the seafront after a drive down from London (if they make it). Just one of a range of similar events throughout the year, including vintage motorcycle runs and Smart Car runs.
July Brighton Kite Festival: The sky becomes a mass of colour at this jolly event.
July Paddle Round The Pier: Watch a variety of boats, rafts and other floating objects try to navigate around the now derelict West Pier.
November Lewes Bonfire Night: 5th of November is the UK's night for fireworks, and most towns and cities will have a display. Lewes, a market town 6 miles from Brighton, has the most riotous, historic and extensive celebrations in the region.
December Burning of the Clocks: A parade, fireworks, and a symbolic burning of paper clocks to mark the end of the year.

Embassy Brighton（ブライトン）への行き方

ロンドン ビクトリア駅より: ブライトン行きの電車どれでもご利用いただけます – 通常、ビクトリア駅の右端、出発案内板の先18 または 19番プラットフォームから出ています。　ピークの時間帯には、1時間に最低2本運行されています。直行電車はおよそ50分の乗車時間となり、途中主要な駅にのみ停車します。

ブライトン駅より:  私たちのスクールは駅のすぐ裏手、徒歩3分のところにあります。　改札を出たら左に曲がり、改札とWH Smith shop の間を過ぎます。鉄道に沿うように歩道が見えますので、駅の裏手へと歩き、駐車場とJurys Inn hotel の間を進みます。私たちのスクールはホテルの裏の大きなビルです。(Embassy の看板を探してください)

バス: ブライトン駅行きの多くのバスのどれかに乗車し、ブライトン駅からは上記の案内に従ってください。最も頻繁に運行されているバスは7番です。ブライトンに東の端ブライトンマリーナと、西の端ホーブ間を5分おきに運行しており、ルート上のNorth Street, Churchill Square その他多くの場所で停車します。

駅に停車する他のバス: 6, 8, 12, 14, 21, 27, 37, 47, 52, 57, 59, 77, 78, 79, 8, 81A 　夜間: N7 と N99

ブライトンの中心部より徒歩: 　大きな薬局Boots の前にある時計台から Queen's Road に沿って真っすぐ5分～10分ほど歩きます。ブライトン駅は Queen's Road が終わるところにあります。そこからは上記の案内に従ってください。
