Here are recent news stories from Embassy Surfers Paradise:

Charity barbecue

Embassy Surfers Paradise recently hosted a barbecue, celebrating the Queen’s birthday and raising money for the Building Futures charity. There was a great turnout, with around 60 students. Participants enjoyed games, food and drinks on beautiful Budds Beach, in Surfer’s Paradise.

The students relaxed and socialised outside the classroom with the best things the Gold Coast has to offer, the sun and sand!

Surfers Paradise students make a splash at Sea World!

A pre-intermediate class from Embassy Surfers Paradise recently went on an excursion to SeaWorld, a marine-themed amusement park located only fifteen minutes from the school. Here the students saw various exhibits with animals such as polar bears, sharks, penguins and stingrays, and they also watched live performance shows by dolphins and seals. This, combined with riding rollercoasters, enjoying other thrill rides and watching a jet-ski stunt show made it a very enjoyable and educational day for the students.

Easter Beach Barbecue

Over a hundred and fifty students at Embassy Surfers Paradise campus celebrated the beginning of their Easter break with a beach barbecue (or BBQ as it is sometimes known). The weather was gorgeous, the food delicious and the company even better! The students enjoyed a mouth-watering BBQ cooked for them by their teachers with the menu including Australian steak, Indian spiced chicken, homemade salads and of course many Easter eggs. No one was left hungry! With all this food a little exercise was needed. The students all of different nationalities shared new and exciting games, all of which culminated in a fast and furious international soccer game.

Treetop Fun

Three classes from Embassy Surfers Paradise visited O'Reillys, a wilderness resort located in Lamington National Park.

Students had a wonderful time feeding and meeting the very friendly King Parrots and Parakeets and walking through the biggest subtropical rainforest in the world. See more photos from this trip in our Surfers Paradise Facebook album.

Gold Coast party!

On September 5th, the Surfers Paradise school hosted its first Student Party Night. 150 revellers from Embassy and Martin College took on the night life of Surfers Paradise, beginning at the local hotspot, Melbas and dancing far into the night. With the promise of cheap drinks and snacks throughout the evening, it was certain to be a fun night for all, and didn't disappoint. The DJ played some great music, the students were dressed up and occasional entertainment was provided by the staff! We hope to see you all at our next student party!
