Rosie McAndrew, Teacher
I've taught since 1984.
I was born in London and I've lived in various places including South America.
I love language, and I love helping people to think, and to see connections, and to discover things. I like to create conditions in which students learn. I love it when the students really get enthused by anything we do in the class, and it's really nice to see them desperate to communicate things to one another, and just to be able to feed in the right language at the right time.
I like Hastings very much. There's a tremendous amount of artistic activity going on. There's music as well: lots of different singing groups, and choirs and jazz, and nearly every pub has live music most nights of the week. I'm very involved with theatre, too. It's a small enough town that if you get involved with almost anything, you're going to find other like-minded people.
