Alexsandra Rebic, Teacher at Embassy CES Brighton

Alexsandra Rebić, Teacher

I've been here since 1999. I was in Serbia teaching there, and I was in all kinds of schools: kindergarten and primary schools; secondary and language schools; I taught adults - I had very good experience, always teaching English.

I love teaching: that variety, it's dynamic, it's always different. You never know what's going to happen round the corner. I like planning lessons, being creative. I think every class inspires you in a different way, so I really like that side. And of course, meeting people from other countries and learning about their cultures and making them learn about each other's, and try to involve them with meeting each other after school and doing things together.

I chose Brighton because I'd always wanted to live by the sea. Dreams come true! I love it here - the sea and the people. You can really do anything here and I like the sense of community: people are friendly.

I do yoga, and I started singing: I belong to the Hullabaloo choir, and it's great. We're preparing a couple of songs for the Brighton Festival in May. On and off I do life drawing courses, and I like cycling or walking.
