Working in the UK - Important Information
New EU members states
From May 1 2004, most nationals of the new member states (Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia) (except Cyprus and Malta) who wish to apply to work for an employer for more than one month in the UK need to register under the Worker Registration Scheme.
Applicants from Bulgaria and Romania
From January 1 2007, unless you have permission to work in the UK already, Embassy CES Summer cannot apply for a work permit or visa on your behalf.
Non-EU applicants
Due to the temporary nature of our summer posts, we regret to advise you that Embassy CES Summer cannot consider any applicants who do not possess the required visa status and/or work permit for the UK. If you possess the appropriate documentation, you will be required to provide evidence in support of your application.
