Core English skills

This course offers a rigorous approach to general English language learning :

  • It will quickly improve your ability to communicate in real-life situations; by focusing on the integration of reading, writing, listening and speaking.
  • We also concentrate on the key areas needed to improve your fluency: essential grammar, pronunciation, colloquial language, idioms and vocabulary.

A flexible course

Choose the pace and intensity that suits you the best:

  • Standard  20x50 minute lessons per week, mornings or afternoons only
  • Semi-intensive (Australia only) 24x50 minute lessons per week, mornings or afternoons only. The extra eight lessons focus on real-life outcomes such as work preparation or English for travel.
  • Intensive 28x50 minute lessons per week, mornings and afternoons.

Special electives

On the intensive Certificate of English course, you can choose optional modules that will help you to achieve your goals. You might want to integrate exam preparation, or focus on pronunciation, grammar or vocabulary. In the USA and England, you can even add an Internship.

Many modules also lead to practical outcomes such as:

  • Credits towards Martin College Certificates and Diplomas
  • Internationally recognised qualifications validated by Microsoft, IELTS, Cambridge ESOL and many more.

You will be advised about selecting electives to suit your needs and interests.

Your progress, guaranteed

We will test your level of English upon arrival and place you in a class that suits your ability.

  • To ensure your objectives are met, we regularly assess your progress and provide you with reports on your development.
  • As proof of your improvement, you will be presented with the Embassy CES Certificate of English and a full report.
