The school
Our Seattle school is situated on the leafy green campus of Pacific Lutheran University, which is in Tacoma - 36 miles south of the city and 28 miles north of Washington's state capital Olympia. Tacoma was recently voted one of America's 'most liveable cities' and also topped the list of 'most wired cities', making it ideal for student life.
The Embassy CES school is well situated in the centre of the campus, in one of the most attractive buildings on site.
When full, our Seattle centre has a capacity of 250 students. The minimum age is 16.

The city
Seattle is situated on the Puget Sound, approximately 100 miles from the US/Canada border. It is surrounded by mountains and water, making for easy escape into the countryside. Tacoma, the actual home of our centre, is known as 'The City of Destiny' - particularly apt for students whose descision to learn English could be the start of a whole new life!
Inhabitants of Tacoma enjoy the benefits of a cultural, diverse city, with access to the natural wonders of Mount Rainier National Park and the Olympic Peninsula.
Meanwhile, Seattle, where you may choose to spend much of your leisure time, is famous for its cultural life, its port and its main export - technology.
And let's not forget its famous coffee houses!
With a mild climate year round, it's not surprising that the Seattle region has been named among the 'most livable' in the US.

Attractions
Even if you're not interested in visiting the very first Starbucks - after all, it's just a Starbucks - there are plenty of things to see and do in Seattle.
Most famous of all is the Space Needle, which gives views from 520 feet above the city. You can even dine in its rotating restaurant.
Art lovers will appreciate Seattle's many galleries and museums, as well as Tacoma's impressive collection of public art, and the annual artists' month in November. The Museum of Glass is America's only museum dedicated to this medium, and one of only three in the world.
Tacoma has two famous ex-residents: Bing Crosby, one of the best-selling singers in history, and Gary Larson, whose cartoons are translated into 17 languages and appreciated the world over.
The waterfront is a great place for a stroll, or even jogging or rollerblading.
If you prefer to relax, Seattle has abundant parks and gardens; Point Defiance Park in Tacoma is the second largest city park in the United States. When you have regained your energy, it's time to explore the monorail, aquarium and the many shops.
Looking for a thrill? The Wild Waves and Enchanted Village theme park is nearby.
