The school
Manhattan Beach, 19 miles south-west of Los Angeles, is the site of our school. Famous for its 40 acres of sandy beaches, Manhattan Beach offers our students a beautiful, relaxed atmosphere in which to study.
The school is situated within a Chapman University learning centre. Chapman University is one of the oldest educational institutions in California. It is only a 20-minute trip from central Los Angeles and very convenient for Los Angeles Airport, which is just three miles away. You can be settling in to your new accommodation within an hour of your plane landing.
Chapman University is a private institution, which offers a wide range of undergraduate degree programmes specialising in arts, sciences, film and business. If your English is at a high enough level, you will be able to join Chapman University classes, which are held in the evening.
When full, our Los Angeles school has a capacity of 150 students. The minimum age is 16.

Activities
Los Angeles is a very exciting place and surrounded by celebrated sights like Hollywood, Disneyland and some of the best galleries and museums in the world. Our activities organisers will make sure you don't miss any of them.
When you arrive, you will complete a questionnaire to tell us what you would like to see, and what your budget is. In this way, the activities programme reflects the preferences of the majority. But don't worry if your tastes are not represented: we can also help you organise independent trips. All students are encouraged and assisted in seeing as much of LA as possible in an affordable way.
There are often chances to see TV programmes being made, or to visit film studios. The local Manhattan Beach area will become your neighbourhood - for information about local restaurants and shopping close to the school, please talk to the school Student Services Representative.
