The city
Brisbane is an ideal place to live and study, thanks to its pleasant climate, range of attractions and casual, outdoor lifestyle.
The city centre has very good shopping facilities with all the major stores and many specialist shops. There are many cinemas, theatres, pubs and clubs. All of these add up to an exciting night life for those interested in relaxing after a day's study. The city is dotted with excellent restaurants which offer a wide range of food.
The city centre is also within walking distance of the cultural centre, museum, convention centre, and main public library.
The countryside around Brisbane is rich in magnificent natural attractions. The whole area is excellent for walking, cycling and touring around. You can easily see Australia's unusual native animals in their habitat and even experience the thrill of holding a koala.

Attractions
With such gorgeous weather, you'll want to be outdoors most of the time - when you're not studying, that is!
That's not a problem with two major parks right in the city centre. Take a free guided tour of Roma Street or experience Southbank Parklands with its many open-air cafes, the Queensland Cultural Precinct, craft market and beach lagoon situated alongside the Brisbane River. Here you'll often find theatrical events, concerts, and river regattas too.
If you prefer to shop, you'll enjoy the half-kilometre long Queen Street Mall, Chinatown, and the Valley markets.
The fun needn't stop in the evenings, either: there's a vibrant nightlife in Brisbane which takes in restaurants, bars, theatres and club.
