Language Semester Abroad: your timetable

The Semester Abroad follows the same set timetable as the Certificate of English. In addition, you'll be given personalised targets to meet, to keep you focused during this long-term course.

Regular discussions with your teacher, and written reports, will ensure that your goals are clearly defined - and met. Your development will be monitored through a series of assignments and oral and written exams each term.

Your week will consist of:

  • 20x 50-minute classes, using an approved textbook as the basis for the class, and focusing primarily on grammar.
  • 8x 50-minute classes concentrating more on fluency in all areas.

The course is also designed to integrate with preparation for internationally recognised English exams, the Cambridge ESOL exams, TOEFL and IELTS.
