FAQs

Are there any breaks in the Language Year Abroad course?

Yes. Nine or six months is a long time to study without a break. If you are studying for more than one term, you'll have a vacation during your course.

- On the Language Year Abroad course, you'll have three or four 11-week terms (33 or 44 weeks' tuition) with two weeks' vacation between each term.

- On the Language Semester Abroad course, you'll have two 11 week terms (22 weeks' tuition) with two weeks' vacation between terms.

What is the certificate that I receive after completing the course?

The Embassy Language Year Abroad Certificate states your level of English and certifies that you have completed the course and made the required amount of progress.

In addition, you will receive a final progress report, a portfolio of your work and test results.

What text books are used on this course?

We use up-to-date course books specially prepared for us by leading publishers, supported and supplemented by digitalised versions delivered through interactive whiteboards.

Are text books and materials provided?

Yes, all supplementary learning materials and course books are provided free of charge.

How many students are there per class?

The maximum for this course is 16 (18 in Australia). In our less busy periods, you may well find that your class is smaller.
