FAQs

I do not speak any English at all. Can I really study with Embassy?

Yes indeed. All students who enrol on English for Beginners will be of a similar level. Your teacher will be aware of the special requirements of beginners, and the support they require.

What text books are used on this course?

We use up-to-date course books specially prepared for us by leading publishers, supported and supplemented by digitalised versions delivered through interactive whiteboards.

Are text books and materials provided?

Yes, all course books and supplementary materials are provided on this course. You may wish to purchase additional supporting books, although they are not essential.

Should I enrol on English for Beginners, or Certificate of English at Elementary level?

For a description of the levels we use at Embassy, please see our Levels page. You may also wish to take our English test (on the homepage) for an idea of your basic capabilities.

On arrival at the school, you will be given an entrance test to ascertain your level. If it is found that you are of a higher level than Beginner, you will be placed in the Elementary class instead, at no extra cost.

How many students are there per class?

The maximum for this course is 15, all at Beginner level. In our less busy periods, you may well find that your class is smaller.

You will find the answer to more general questions about Embassy on our main FAQs page.
