English for Academic Purposes: your timetable

Your week will consist of 28x 50-minute classes.

In each term, students study five modules - Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking and Study Skills. As the course progresses, students complete increasingly challenging work.

In term one, you'll quickly build essential language skills in all areas. In addition, you will focus on IELTS test-taking skills and strategies at an introductory level. By the end of this term, you should have reached the equivalent of IELTS 5.0 in order to progress to the next term.

Term two sees further core language and academic preparation classes, plus higher level IELTS examination preparation.

Reach an equivalent of IELTS 5.5, and you will progress to term three. As well as continuing with your higher level language and academic skills, you will learn advanced strategies for success in the IELTS exam, and refine your Australian university level proficiency.
