Cambridge ESOL exam preparation: FAQs

These are the questions we are most frequently asked about the Cambridge ESOL exam preparation course.

When are the Cambridge exams held?

March (FCE and CAE), June (all Cambridge exams), or December (all Cambridge exams).

Where are they held?

At a local, recognised Cambridge test centre. Your school will advise and register you.

Which English exam should I take?

Here is a table showing the exams suitable for different levels and aims.

Beginner You'll need to join our Certificate of English course and obtain a Pre-Intermediate level before you can prepare for exam courses with Embassy. No problem! We can work out a study plan for you.

Are text books and materials provided?

Yes, all course books and supplementary materials are provided on this course. You may wish to purchase additional supporting books, although they are not essential.

How many students are there per class?

The maximum for this course is 12. In our less busy periods, you may well find that your class is smaller.
